Storm clouds loomed for Linda + Ryan’s Adler Planetarium wedding, but a quick drizzle was followed by glorious sun.
Linda + Ryan met as veterinary students at the University of Colorado. They attended a party hosted by mutual friends and instantly connected. Linda brought a friend along who Ryan mistook as her boyfriend, so their romance got off to a slow start. About a year later, Linda was studying one night when her electricity went out and she was forced into using the free WiFi at Panera Bread. As luck would have it, Ryan was there studying at another table.
“Linda, you have taught me many things throughout our relationship. But I want to thank you, most of all, for teaching me how to open my heart and soul.”
For their Adler Planetarium wedding, the ceremony overlooking the city was the perfect backdrop. The bright sun peaking through the storm clouds was beautiful. Linda + Ryan laughed together as Linda’s brother told the story of how they got to the alter. After the I do’s and Jewish tradition of breaking the glass, it was time to have some fun!
Because the weather was perfect, guests enjoyed cocktails on the terrace at the Adler Planetarium wedding. After cocktail hour, guests headed into the stunning dining room. Lovely toasts were given to the couple, including a very clever poem written by Linda’s maid-of-honor.
“Linda, we first met through the theater, on Winnetka’s acclaimed stages. Linda was a goofball even then, we were very much on the same pages…From Sears Panther to New Trier Trev, through a Connecticut College camel, Linda has been a loyal friend to every kind of mammal. Ryan, you’ve scored a life long pal, who’s kind and full of wit, who’s love of celebrations knows no bounds, she’s got serious holiday grit…We love you and are thrilled to celebrate this couple veterinary, we wish you a life of love, adventure and every moment extraordinary.”
