The Haight Wedding Elgin Lindsey + Lucas

The Haight wedding was the perfect setting for Lindsay and Lucas’s rustic style wedding! The Haight in Elgin is such a unique venue with its rustic chic charm and beautiful glowing natural light. The loft style space has so many fun touches like the vintage piano and a huge diamond ring big enough for someone to sit in, created for the first bride who got married there.

Champagne was popping and N’Sync was jamming on the iPad as they got makeup and hair done.

Because Lindsey has a close group of friends, they were all in the bridal suite helping her celebrate. Champagne was popping and N’Sync was jamming on the iPad as they got makeup and hair done. They all chose variations of windswept braids to match the rustic charm of the Haight. Lindsey chose grey and pink as her color combination and a gorgeous floral bouquet that looked almost Hawaiian.

Lucas chose his closest friend and brother to be his best man. Lucas got ready in the hollywood style man cave complete with lighted mirror.

While cards and gifts were exchanged, Lucas wrote a long love letter to his beautiful bride. Lindsey’s note was a little shorter which was a big surprise to Lucas! They both chose cologne as their gifts to each other.

From Lindsey’s Badgley Mischka shoes to Lucas’s trendy blue suit, this couple definitely has style!

Lindsey put her personal creative touch into every part of the wedding. She created the table centerpieces out of bricks she um “borrowed” from her neighbor’s yard and helped design her bouquet.

Lindsey and Lucas made their ceremony their own. Only the bride and groom walked down the aisle. Because Lindsey has so many people who mean so much to her, she gave everyone of them a part of walking her down the aisle. Her Dad started off, then handed her to her Uncle who walked her to her Mom who gave her away.

After they said their “I do’s, ” guests enjoyed cocktails and hors devours in the rustic lounge. The highlight for the guests was taking photos in front of the “Cheers” sign painted on the wall. Because the maid-of-honor and best man had known Lindsey + Lucas for so many years, their toasts brought both laughter and tears.

Lindsey didn’t want their first dance to be anything but spectacular, so the couple started taking dance lessons. At first, they signed up for just four lessons, but they had so much fun together that they kept on going, adding more and more complexity to their dance. Therefore, a lift was even added for that “wow” moment.
